Its privileged location on the coast gives this town a tradition of tourism and seafaring. Conil de la Frontera is located on the Coast of Light inside attractive La Janda coastline.

Conil is a place that enjoys many hours of sunlight through the year. With relatively little rainfall and pleasant temperatures it makes for a most attractive spot at any time of the year.

In Arabic Conil means a "place of enjoyment". It is also on a splendid and spacious beaches, beaches with soft and white sand, and turquoise clear water along the 14 Kms. of coastline. The Conil's pine-tree groves start behind the beaches, the extensive pine forests provide a picturesque contrast with the blue of the sea.

It is one of the liveliest spots on the Andalucian coast, with lots of pubs, discos and restaurants that attract night owls from all around.
